Until now, when entering or ending employment contracts with foreign nationals, employers were required to notify Hello Work of the foreign national’s name and residence status. However, starting from March 1st, employers will now also be required to notify Hello Work of the foreign national’s residence card number. As such, please be aware that employers may keep your residence status card number on record, or ask for you to provide such information.
